About Authors Guidelines

General Instructions to Authors
  1. Mangalayatan Journal of Social Sciencesand Humanities accepts scholarly publication covering research studies, review papers, research articles, current developments in the field of Social Sciences and Humanities,
  2. Papers submitted to Mangalayatan Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities, should not be sent for publication elsewhere.
  3. Similarity Index should be less than 10 %. Copyright of all articles published or accepted for publication in the journal shall be reserved with the publisher.
  4. The author/s will be responsible for all views and opinions expressed by them in their articles / papers.
  5. It is mandatory for authors to submit manuscript in MS Word via email at: mjssh.editor@mangalayatan.edu.in
  6. Author/s have to submit copyright form for their communication.
  7. Respond to any queries asked by editor promptly and swiftly during the publication process.
  8. Communications between author/s and the journal editor are to be kept confidential until an editorial decision has been made final.
  9. Author/ authors are solely responsible for the contents of communication
  10. The manuscript of communication submitted to journal must be original, and not published before.
  11. The Galley proof (if any)of the paper will be sent for correction to the first author. Only after receiving the corrected paper from the author it will be sent for publication.
Manuscript Preparation Guidelines Title page
  1. Format: The submission file should be in MS Word document file format.
  2. Font: The text matter should be in Times New Roman with font size 12 and single-spaced (for English)and KrutiDev font size 12 (for Hindi).
  3. Length: The length of the paper should normally be within 5000 words. This covers all text content, structured abstract,examples, tables, figures including references.
  4. Title: A title should be very clear, concise and meaningful to the contents. It should be in capital letters.
    1. Authors:The names of all contributing authors should be added and list them in the order in which to be published. Each contributing author need following details:
    2. Author/s name: All authors’ full and last name without academic title and rank should be written. Join each author’s name by the symbol “,” and the last author with “and”.
    3. Author/s affiliation: Information where the authors are working, organisation name and place.
    4. Author/s email address for communication.
    5. In case author is retired, the name of institute he served to be added indicating “Former”.
    6. In multi-authored papers, all authors have made a significant contribution to the paper are listed. Those who have provided support but have not contributed to the research should be featured in an acknowledgement section.
  5. Abstract: Articles must include a structured abstract, covering explanations like: Purpose, Design/methodology/approach, Findings, Originality, utility / significance etc. The length of abstract should be within 250-300 words.
  6. Keywords: Include up to 5-10 appropriate and short keywords that support the main theme / topics of the paper. (Please note, the in-house editorial team may replace some of them with matching terms to ensure consistency across publications and improve your article’s visibility).
  7. Type/Nature of article: Indicate which type of communication is viz. Research Paper, Book Review, Review Article, Conceptual Paper, Technical Paper, Case Study, Critical Review, Literature Review, General Review, Analytical Communication etc.
  8. Heading and Sub Headings: All headings should be in capital letters and sub headings in the paper should be in regular manner.

  1. Tables and Figures: All tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end. Every table must be an appropriate and brief title and having numerical numbers. Column heading should be in bold.
  2. Figures, legends, covers, charts, diagrams,line drawings, webpages/screenshots, and photographic images etc. should be in good quality with appropriate title and numerical numbers.
  3. Reference Citing: All references in manuscript must be formatted properly and accurately using Harvard Style Guide. All citations must be complete, accurate and consistent. The list of all references should be alphabetically arranged. The author (s) should mention only the actually utilized references in the preparation of manuscript and they should strictly follow Harvard Style of Referencing.   4. Language and Grammar: Language of the paper should be in English/Hindi only. Author should be more careful with respect to the Spellings and Grammar.
  5. Reference: The list of references must be at the end of the paper and in alphabetical order (as per style guide). Where a DOI is available, this should be included at the end of the reference.
